What to Expect at Camp

Your child will get a hands-on experience with activities designed to challenge and inspire them, including:

We have curated four incredible destinations, each offering a distinct blend of history and nature.

1. Gandikota & Belum Caves:

  • Dates: September 23 – 26, 2025
  • Highlights: Explore the “Grand Canyon of India” and discover the fascinating underground world of Belum Caves.
  • Age Group: 8 to 16 years
  • Travel Plans: Overnight journey from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai on the 22nd Night, returning on the 27th morning.
  • This camp focuses on a mix of historical exploration and adventure.
  • Activities will include:
  • Day 1: Arrival, camp setup, introduction to basic rock climbing techniques, knots, safety and communications, and an evening of team games, unwind with bonfire and music.
  • Day 2: A full day of exploration at Gandikota, with trekking along the canyo, zipline and activities like rappelling & obstacle rope activities. The day will end with a bonfire and team games at the campsite.
  • Day 3: A deep dive into the Belum Caves, India’s second-largest cave system. Children will explore the fascinating stalactite and stalagmite formations with expert guides, learning about the geology and history of the caves.
  • Day 4: A final day – begins with bird watching & morning some bushcraft activities, followed by a closing ceremony and departure.

2. Dudhsagar, Tumdi Surla Waterfalls, & Dandeli:

  • Dates: September 27 – 30, 2025
  • Highlights: Embark on a journey through lush green landscapes. Witness the magnificent Dudhsagar Falls. Enjoy the wildlife and water sports of Dandeli.
  • Age Group: 10 to 18 years
  • Travel Plans: Overnight journey from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Pune on the 26thNight, returning on the 1st of October morning.

This camp is all about water, nature, and adrenaline-pumping activities. A typical day’s plan might look like this:

  • Day 1: Arrival and check-in to the Dandeli campsite. The day will include team-building activities, with an introduction to the jungle camp and its surroundings.
  • Day 2: A focus on water sports on the Kali River. Activities will include kayaking and river rafting. The day will conclude with a bonfire and star-gazing.
  • Day 3: A journey to the majestic Dudhsagar Waterfalls, with a trek through the forest. Children will have the opportunity to experience the scenic beauty of the falls.
  • Day 4: A final round of activities like ziplining, followed by a farewell session and departure.

3. Hampi:

  • Dates: October 1 – 4, 2025
  • Highlights: Step back in time. Explore the historical ruins and temples of the Vijayanagara Empire. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Age Group: 10 to 18 years
  • Travel Plans: Overnight journey from Hyderabad, & Bengaluru on the 30th Night, returning on the 5th morning.

This camp offers a blend of historical discovery and outdoor adventure. The itinerary is likely to be:

  • Day 1: Arrival in Hampi and check-in. The day will be dedicated to exploring key monuments such as the Vijaya Vittala Temple with its famous Stone Chariot and musical pillars.
  • Day 2: A day of historical exploration including sites like the Virupaksha Temple, Elephant Stables, and Lotus Mahal. The evening may include an activity like a coracle ride on the Tungabhadra River.
  • Day 3: A morning hike to Anjanadri Hill, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, to witness a panoramic view of the ruins. The day will continue with a visit to other local monuments and a final night of camping with a bonfire.

1. Safety:

  • Transportation: We use chartered, AC coaches from reputable travel companies. Depending on the group size (12 pax: Tempo Traveller; 20-25 pax: Mini Bus; 35-45 pax: U/Deluxe bus), we ensure a comfortable and safe journey. AC is used for road travel but may be switched off in hilly or forest areas for technical reasons. Our drivers are child-friendly, and we have backup vehicles for any unforeseen emergencies.
  • Activities: All activities are led by well-trained, qualified, and friendly instructors. We use UIAA-approved safety gear and follow a strict safety protocol. We maintain a ratio of at least one instructor for every five students (5:1) for key activities, with additional support staff (1 for every 10 kids) to ensure optimal safety. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate and consider each child’s physical capacity.
  • Campsites: Campsites are carefully selected for safety, cleanliness, and basic comfort. They are managed by friendly hosts who ensure the campus remains tidy and secure.
  • Instructors: The team includes a dedicated Camp Manager, a lady instructor for female participants, and an adequate number of additional instructors to maintain a safe instructor-to-student ratio.

2. Food & Meals:

  • During the camp, we provide fresh, hygienically prepared, and nutritious vegetarian meals three times a day. Evening snacks are also provided, along with a warm beverage like Boost, Horlicks, or Badam milk. We cater to vegetarian dietary requirements only.

3. Group Size:

  • We prefer a maximum group size of 45 children per batch to ensure individual attention and safety. The minimum group size to run a camp is 10 participants.

4. What should my child pack?

  • A detailed packing list will be provided upon registration. This will include essentials like comfortable clothing for trekking and activities. You should also bring a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Don’t forget a water bottle, a small backpack, and personal toiletries. We recommend packing light but smart.

5. How are medical emergencies handled?

  • All our camp instructors are trained in basic first aid. We carry a comprehensive first-aid kit at all times. In case of a minor ailment, our team will provide necessary care. If there are serious medical emergencies, we will transport the child to the nearest medical facility. We will inform parents immediately.

6. Can I contact my child during the camp?

  • We believe in giving children a chance to disconnect and fully immerse themselves in the experience. Phone calls are generally not allowed during the day to ensure their focus on activities. However, a specific time slot will be designated each evening for children to call home. In case of an emergency, parents can contact the Camp Manager.

7. How do you manage children with special needs or dietary restrictions?

  • Please inform us in detail about any special needs, allergies, or specific dietary requirements at the time of registration. We strive to accommodate all children. However, we will assess each request individually. This ensures we can provide a safe and comfortable environment.

8. What is your cancellation and refund policy?

  • Details about our cancellation policy will be outlined in the registration form. A full or partial refund may be provided based on the notice period before the camp starts. Administrative fees will be deducted. We recommend reviewing this policy before making a booking.

9. Will my child be given a certificate?

  • Yes, every child who completes the camp will receive a Certificate of Participation. This certificate recognizes their achievements. It also acknowledges the skills they have acquired.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of your children is our top priority. Our camp’s safety protocols are designed to be comprehensive. They cover all aspects of the camp experience from transportation and activities to food and medical emergencies. Here’s a detailed overview of the measures we have in place:
  • 10. General Camp Safety
  • Experienced and Vetted Staff: All our instructors and staff are carefully selected based on their qualifications, experience, and temperament. They undergo background checks and are trained in first aid and CPR.
  • Child-to-Staff Ratio: We uphold a strict and adequate ratio of instructors and support staff to children. For adventure activities, the ratio is one instructor for every five students (5:1). Additionally, we have one support staff member for every ten children for overall supervision.
  • Emergency Preparedness: We have a well-defined emergency response plan for various scenarios. These scenarios include medical emergencies, natural events, or a child getting separated from the group. This plan includes designated contact persons, a protocol for communicating with parents, and arrangements with local medical facilities.
  • Continuous Supervision: Children are never left unsupervised. A buddy system is encouraged during all activities. A head count is conducted regularly. This is done especially before and after each activity and during transportation.

How do I register my child for the camp?

Registration for our Children Dussehra Camp is a straightforward process. To ensure a smooth experience and to get all the necessary information, please follow these steps:

  1. Registration Form: The first step is to register at: https://forms.gle/EjN1MyTVuPGqQnPM6a registration form.
  2. Complete the Registration Form: The form will require essential information about your child. This includes their full name and date of birth. Additionally, please provide any medical conditions or allergies we should be aware of. You will also need to select the camp location and dates you wish to register for.
  3. Submit the Form and Payment: Once you have completed the form, please return it to us. Include the camp fee with your submission. Payment can typically be made via bank transfer, online payment gateway, or other specified methods. The details for payment will be provided with the registration form.
  4. Receive a Confirmation and Welcome Kit: After we receive your completed form and payment, you will get a confirmation email. This will include a receipt and a “Welcome Kit”. The kit contains all the necessary details for the camp. It includes a detailed itinerary. You’ll also find a packing list and contact information for the camp manager.

Please note that spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your child’s place in their preferred camp.

What is the Cancellation policy?

Thank you for asking this important question. Our cancellation policy aims to be fair to both families and our organization. We incur various administrative and logistical costs in the lead-up to each camp.

The next is our standard cancellation and refund policy:

  • Cancellation 60 or more days before the camp start date: You will receive a 100% refund of the camp fee. However, a 10% administrative and bank processing fee will be deducted.
  • Cancellation between 30 and 59 days before the camp start date: You will receive a 50% refund of the camp fee.
  • Cancellation less than 30 days before the camp start date: We can’t offer a refund. Arrangements will have been finalized by then. We will also incur non-recoverable costs for your child’s spot, including transportation, accommodation, and activity permits.

Important Notes:

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to our official contact address. The date of the email will be considered the official date of cancellation.
  • We strongly recommend that you carefully consider the camp dates and your family’s schedule before booking.
  • In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a camp due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural calamity, insufficient registrations), you will be entitled to a full refund of your camp fee.

Any discounts?

We believe in making our camps accessible to as many children as possible while maintaining the quality and safety standards that we are known for. While our camp fees are structured to be within a reasonable budget, we do offer a few options for discounts.

Here are the details on our available discounts:

  • Sibling Discount: If you are registering more than one child from the same family, you will receive a special discount. This offer is valid when enrolling in a camp. This discount applies to the total camp fee for each additional child.
  • Group Discount: We offer a group discount for a minimum of 5 children registering together. This is a great opportunity for friends to share the adventure and for you to save on the cost.
  • Early Bird Discount: For a limited time, we will offer a special “Early Bird” discount. This discount is for those who register and pay for the camp before a specific date. The details of this offer will be announced on our website. Follow us on social media channels for updates.

Please be aware that discounts cannot be combined. If you are eligible for more than one discount, we will apply the one that provides the greater savings.
