Embark on a unique journey that blends the raw wilderness of the Sundarbans with the tranquil charm of Darjeeling’s tea country.
This 9-day experience crafted by Nature Admire takes you from the world’s largest mangrove delta, home to the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, to the rolling tea gardens of the Eastern Himalayas, where mist and mountain meet tradition and tranquility.
From cruising along forest creeks in the Sundarbans to walking through tea-covered slopes in Darjeeling, every day unfolds a new connection with nature, culture, and local life — offering a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Reporting: Kolkata
Departure: New Jalapaiguri / Bagdogra
9 days / 7 nights
The adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kolkata to the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its maze of rivers, tidal creeks, and mangrove forests.
Stay in a comfortable eco-resort, enjoy a boat safari through narrow channels, and explore the Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali, and Do-Banki watchtowers. Witness the confluence of five mighty rivers at Panchamukhani, and, if you’re lucky, spot the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger basking along the riverbanks.
Evenings bring alive the cultural side of the Sundarbans — with local folk performances, village walks, and traditional Bengali cuisine served fresh from the delta’s heart.
It’s a perfect introduction to the rhythm of life where land, river, and wildlife coexist in harmony.
From Kolkata, an overnight train and a scenic hill drive take you to the tranquil village of Majua, the gateway to your Darjeeling tea house trek.
This gentle trek meanders through tea gardens, forest paths, and hillside villages — connecting Majua, Dangia, Mim, Pembong, Lingia, and Marybong.
Stay in local homestays, interact with tea pluckers, visit a tea processing factory, and taste freshly brewed Darjeeling tea right where it grows.
The trail offers sweeping views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, peaceful valleys, and timeless tea estates established during the colonial era.
Each village introduces a different flavour of Himalayan hospitality — from riverside serenity to misty highland calm.
The trek is non-strenuous, making it ideal for anyone seeking slow-paced, meaningful travel with rich cultural and natural experiences.
