Day 01: Arrival in Colombo → Transfer to Kandy Islands

🏙️ Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you’ll be greeted warmly before heading to the enchanting Kandy Islands. Relax and soak in the serene island atmosphere.

Day 02: Explore the Cultural Charm of Kandy

🏛️ Discover the cultural heart of Sri Lanka:

• Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
• Stroll along Kandy Lake and experience the beauty of the Royal Botanical Gardens.
• Enjoy an evening traditional Kandyan dance performance.

Day 03: Trekking at Katsukonda

🥾 Begin your adventure with a scenic trek through the Katsukonda region, surrounded by misty mountains, dense forests, and vibrant wildlife. Enjoy breathtaking views and immerse yourself in nature.

Our morning drive takes us from Swiss lakes to Swiss Army. At the once-secret Swiss army bunker at Fortress Fürigen, we’ll see part of the massive defense system designed to keep Switzerland strong and neutral. Afterward, a short drive into the countryside brings us to the charming Alpine village of Engelberg, our picturesque home for the next two days. We’ll settle into our lodge then head out for an orientation walk. Our stroll through the village will end at the Engelberg Abbey, a Benedictine monastery with its own cheese-making operation. You’ll have free time to wander back before dinner together. Sleep in Engelberg (2 nights). Bus: 1 hr. Walking: light.

Day 04: Trekking – Pekoe Trail 7 (Kotagala to Norwood)

🌿 Embark on a picturesque trek through tea country, following the Pekoe Trail 7, an off-the-beaten-path route through rolling green hills and quaint tea estates.

Day 05: Canyoning & Abseiling at Laxapana Waterfalls

💦 Adrenaline Rush Alert! Get ready for an exhilarating canyoning and abseiling experience at Laxapana Falls—one of Sri Lanka’s most stunning waterfalls. Feel the thrill as you descend down the cascading waters!

Day 06: Trekking – Pekoe Trail 8 (Norwood to Bogawantalawa) & Transfer to Kitulgala

🏞️ Continue your trekking adventure through Bogawantalawa, known as the Golden Valley of Tea. Witness spectacular landscapes before transferring to Kitulgala, Sri Lanka’s adventure capital.

Day 07: Water Sports at Kitulgala

🚣 Time for some action-packed white-water rafting, kayaking, and waterfall jumps! Kitulgala is famous for its thrilling water sports and breathtaking natural scenery.

Day 08: Return to Colombo & Departure

🚗 Transfer back to Colombo, with an optional detour to explore:

• Ella (for stunning train rides & Nine Arches Bridge)
• Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
• Bentota Beach (for a relaxing coastal experience)
• Ramayana Heritage Tour (for mythological exploration)
