Pindari Glacier Trek 2024 – A Himalayan Exploration

• Welcome: Arrive in Bhageshwar, a charming hill station nestled amidst the Kumaon hills.
• Meet & Greet: Our representatives will greet you and assist with check-in at a comfortable hotel.
• Acclimatization: Spend the afternoon at leisure, allowing your body to adjust to the higher altitude.
• Pre-Trek Briefing: In the evening, enjoy a comprehensive briefing session with our experienced guides. Learn about the itinerary, safety protocols, and responsible trekking practices.

• Scenic Drive: Enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque Kumaon countryside, reaching Sari village, the starting point of our trek.
• Registration: Complete any necessary registration formalities for the trek.
• Trek Orientation: Our guides will provide a detailed orientation on the upcoming days, including campsite locations and expectations.
• First Camp: Settle into your comfortable tents at the Sari village campsite, surrounded by stunning mountain views.

• Morning Trek: Embark on a moderate trek through dense forests of oak, rhododendron, and pine, enjoying the cool Himalayan air.
• Birdwatching: Keep an eye out for colorful birds like the Himalayan Monal and Koklass Pheasant.
• Lunch Break: Enjoy a delicious packed lunch amidst the serene beauty of the Himalayas.
• River Crossing: Cross the serene Sunderdhunga River using a traditional wooden bridge.
• Dwalli Camp: Arrive at Dwalli, a charming village nestled amongst meadows, and set up camp for the night.

• Ascending Trail: The trail gradually ascends through alpine meadows, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
• Flora & Fauna: Look for wildflowers in bloom during spring and summer, and keep an eye out for Himalayan Musk Deer and Thar.
• Lunch Break: Enjoy a scenic lunch break surrounded by the majesty of the Himalayas.
• Bhuniya Dhar Camp: Reach Bhuniya Dhar, a picturesque campsite at a higher altitude, offering panoramic vistas.

• Day Hike: Today’s hike takes you to the mesmerizing Kathron Glaciers, offering stunning close-up views.
• Glacier Exploration: Witness the raw power and beauty of these smaller glaciers, learning about their formation and significance.
• Packed Lunch: Enjoy a nourishing lunch amidst the breathtaking glacial landscape.
• Return to Bhuniya Dhar: Descend back to Bhuniya Dhar campsite, enjoying the changing scenery.

• Gradual Ascent: The trail continues to ascend through meadows and rocky terrain, leading to the base camp of the Pindari Glacier.
• Breathtaking Scenery: Witness the majestic Pindari Glacier emerge from the distance, a captivating sight.
• Camp Setup: Settle into your tents at the base camp, surrounded by the awe-inspiring Himalayan panorama.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner

• Exploration Day: Today offers an optional hike onto the Pindari Glacier itself, subject to weather conditions and group fitness levels.
• Camp Activities: If not participating in the glacier hike, enjoy a relaxing day at the base camp, soaking in the views and participating in optional nature walks.
• Evening Bonfire: Gather around a crackling campfire under the star

After breakfast, begin you trek back from Phurkia to Khati (Approx. 16 km, 6-7 hours).

• Overnight stay in Khati Village.

• Trek from Khati to Loharkhet (Approx. 15 km, 7-8 hours).
• Drive back to Kathgodam.
• End of the trek.

Take a taxi from Loharket to Bageshwar, unwind your evening with a farewell dinner and say goodbye to all your trek mates and carry the memories.
