Day 1: Arrival at NJP Siliguri – Drive to Phuentsholing (Bhutan)

  • Arrival: Arrive at NJP Siliguri where a representative from Charisma Bhutan Tours & Treks will welcome you.
  • Journey: Drive to the Bhutanese border town of Phuentsholing. This gateway to Bhutan marks the beginning of your adventure.
  • Stay: Overnight at a hotel in Phuentsholing.

Day 2Phuentsholing to Thimphu

Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu

  • Morning: Obtain your tourist permit at the Phuentsholing Immigration Office.
  • Travel: Drive to Thimphu, the capital and largest city of Bhutan (approximately 6 hours, 172 km). Enjoy scenic views along the way, including waterfalls, Chukha Dam (top view), and Chuzom Bridge.
  • Evening: Arrive in Thimphu and check in at your hotel.
  • Stay: Overnight in Thimphu.

  • Memorial Chorten: Visit this stupa built in memory of the third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.

  • Morning: Drive to the base of Taktsang and hike to the iconic monastery perched on a cliffside. Horse riding is available up to the viewpoint.
  • Afternoon: Visit Kichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.
  • Evening: Drive back to Phuentsholing for the final night in Bhutan.
